HUBUNGAN PENGGUNAAN DIAPERS DENGAN KEMAMPUAN TOILETING PADA ANAK USIA 3 TAHUN

Abstrak

The process of toileting in children is not easy, it takes the role of parents in such a way as to teach starting from the age of 1-3 years. The research objective was to determine the relationship between the use of diapers and the toileting ability of 3 year olds in Timang Gajah District, Bener Meriah Regency. This research is descriptive analytic with cross sectional design. This research was conducted from 25 - 05 October 2020 in Kenine village and Pajar Harapan village with a total sampling technique, namely 40 mothers who have 3 year old children. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires. The majority used diapers as many as 32 respondents (80.0%), and the majority of the toileting skills were less than 20 respondents (50.0%). Furthermore, the Chi-Square Test was performed. The results showed that there was a relationship between the use of diapers and the toileting ability of children aged 3 years in Kenine Village and Pajar Harapan Village, Timang Gajah District, Bener Meriah Regency with ρ value = 0,000 (ρ <0.05). It is hoped that health workers and Keuchik will be able to provide counseling to mothers who have 3 year old children who are still using diapers to train their children to toilet and not use diapers anymore.
